People often ask why we refer to ourselves at Bibiyan Law Group as the “Tomorrow Law™” team. This story originates in 2014 when I was an attorney practicing general litigation for a boutique litigation firm. I was shocked by how anachronistic the practices were at the firms on both sides of the aisle. The fees charged to clients were exorbitant. The extravagant costs incurred for routine litigation felt unnecessary. The number of people in the chain of service was too high with the personal attention all too low. And it appeared to me that firms that did not specialize in anything seemed to be charging clients to learn the law while delivering less favorable results. I kept thinking to myself: “these people are practicing yesterday law.”
It is against this backdrop that I began “Bibiyan Law Group” and immediately labeled us the “Tomorrow Law™” team. We would become specialists in a field for which we have experience (employment law), and even then for only the clients that we are passionate to represent (employees). We would not charge our clients on an hourly basis: we would be contingency only and advance all costs; only if we won would we take a percentage and recoup our costs. We would replace anachronistic practices and replace them with new ones that adapt to modern technology to deliver better results. And, finally, because we could thus be lean, mean, and modern, we would provide more personal service to our clients.
Since then, Bibiyan Law Group went from a firm of just one attorney and now has just under thirty (30) lawyers and just under fifty (50) local staff members, and employs a family of tens more support staff. Yet we have never lost our Day One commitment to represent employees against employers with personal attention, and continue to innovate new and unique theories to deliver among the best results in our industry.
