Keaton Mendoza
Keaton Mendoza is an Associate Attorney in the Settlement Department. He initially began undergraduate education on the pre-medical route toward becoming a physician, but transitioned to a focus on business and law. He received a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from San Diego State University and attended California Western School of Law for his legal education. He entered law school without a specific practice area in mind, keeping an open focus on both litigation and transactional work.
During law school, Keaton interned at two different civil litigation firms. His first position post-bar was an in-house role at Adventist Health handling labor and employment defense. He then transitioned to a position with Lewis Brisbois, handling general liability defense work. Based on his in-house experience with employment defense and transactional work, followed by a three-year period of litigation, Keaton has a unique blend of both transactional and litigation experience, making him a well-rounded associate capable of handling a variety of matters. This includes a high degree of success in law and motion practice in private practice, ranging from personal injury to public entity work, as well as successfully negotiating and executing numerous settlements.
With this unique blend of transactional and litigation experience from the defense side, Keaton is now excited to transition to Plaintiff-side work. Having worked on the defense side, he understands what makes a strong case from the Plaintiff’s perspective and is eager to use this skill set and experience to achieve fairness for employees and the results clients deserve.
Keaton is a passionate sports fan, and the competitive nature of athletics has helped him excel as an attorney. While currently residing in Sacramento, he was born and raised in Glendale and remains a devoted fan of Los Angeles sports teams, including the Dodgers, Lakers, and Rams. He is also an avid golfer and enjoys spending spare time with his girlfriend, Kiki, and their dog, Oscar.
