Shereen Basi

Shereen earned her B.A. in Political Science from CSU Chico and her J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, graduating with honors and distinction. While at McGeorge, Shereen served as a Primary Managing Editor of the University of the Pacific Law Review—Volume 52, and she was appointed as Appellate Brief Writer for the Moot Court Honors Board. Shereen also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Kendall J. Newman of the United States District Court, Eastern District of California.

Shereen began her legal career representing individuals in complex family law matters, which strengthened her ability to navigate emotionally charged situations. She later shifted to employment law litigation and workplace investigations. Shereen’s employment litigation experience gave her hands-on training in case valuation, motion practice, negotiation strategy, and drafting settlement agreements. Her work conducting neutral workplace investigations further sharpened her ability to evaluate evidence and witness credibility in order to make factual findings in matters including, but not limited to, harassment, discrimination, and retaliation. At Bibiyan Law Group, Shereen draws on this varied background to help resolve employees’ claims, bringing a thoughtful, client-centered approach to every case.
