Emily Platt

Emily Platt joined Bibiyan Law Group as an Associate Attorney in the Pre-Litigation Department, with a focus on handling complex wage-and-hour class actions and Private Attorneys General Act (“PAGA”) representative actions. 

She developed her background in labor and employment matters by serving as plaintiff litigation counsel and previously as outside general corporate counsel to clients in a variety of industries. Her previous litigation and corporate experience provides a useful framework of knowledge to best represent clients’ rights and to hold businesses accountable. 

Emily earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Southern California, where she graduated with a Public Interest Certificate. She received her B.A. in Law and Society, with a minor in Psychology from American University.

Emily has spent much of her career in public advocacy, working as both a post-graduate fellow for Mayor Eric Garcetti and practicing as a public interest attorney, working to preserve the housing rights of Angelenos.  

Emily is admitted to practice law in the State of California, as well as the United States District Courts for the Central, Eastern, Northern, and Southern Districts of California.
