Taylor Ballou

Ms. Ballou is an Associate Attorney with Bibiyan Law Group. She is a first-generation college graduate and first-generation professional. She earned a B.A. in English Literature from UC Berkeley and J.D. from University of Southern California Gould School of Law with certificates in both Business Law and Entertainment law. She was involved with Southern California Interdisciplinary Law Journal, Womxn of Color Collective, Music Law Society, and First Generation Professionals.

After beginning her legal career assisting early-stage tech and life science start ups in corporate formation and series financing, Ms. Ballou pivoted her legal practice to litigation. She honed her oral advocacy skills while representing hundreds of individuals in appeal hearings before the California Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board regarding disqualifications and overpayments related to state unemployment and disability benefits. Her strong writing skills have aided her in securing pre-litigation settlements and influencing mediations for clients subjected to, among other things, wage and hour violations, wrongful termination, sexual harassment, and unlawful discrimination in the workplace.

At Bibiyan Law Group, Ms. Ballou brings her unique skillset to the firm’s class action practice.

When she is not practicing law, Ms. Ballou enjoys karaoke and cooking.
