Laurel N. Holmes built her experience on a full range of employment law matters representing employees faced with unlawful treatment at work. Ms. Holmes has extensive litigation experience, from pursuing actions for sexual harassment, disability discrimination, and whistleblower wrongful termination claims, in addition to wage and hour matters. Now, Ms. Holmes uses her insights to guide clients through the potential maze of laws that function to preserve their, and their colleagues, right to earned wages and other compensation through class and representative actions.
Before joining Bibiyan Law Group, Ms. Holmes served as managing partner for a boutique employment law firm in Los Angeles where she developed training to assist new lawyers gain proficiency and confidence in the field of employment law. With her ability to effectively communicate the nuances of employment law, Ms. Holmes helps clients navigate the path from an initial claim through resolution or to trial and beyond. Ms. Holmes’s notable work includes winning a discrimination case at trial, briefing successful class certification motions, and ensuring that thorough claim investigations facilitated meaningful resolutions in hundreds of matters. Ms. Holmes excels with reason, responsiveness, and creativity to provide the highest level of advocacy.
Ms. Holmes earned her B.A. in communication studies from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), received her J.D. from University of San Diego School of Law, and has completed both the National Conflict Resolution Center’s mediator training and the California Employment Lawyers Association’s trial college.
